Linderhof and Oberammergau

Today we booked an all-day tour. The morning was Linderhof Castle. I was not allowed to take photos inside, which is a bit of a shame because it was so over the top. Gold covered carvings, porcelain vases, paintings, tapestries, ivory, and glass. Dude needed to learn to edit!

It’s a tiny castle, like Mc mansion sized.

Distract them with the size of your fountain!

But the King of Bavaria had a thing for the King of France, so he wanted his castle to be like the palace of Versailles. The coolest part was the gardens.

Manicured gardens, a horse themed fountain, waterfall, with beautiful mountains in the distance.
When we first arrived the fountain was not showing off.
Yes, yes, quite beautiful

Me: Do you want a photo with the lion?

David: Yes I do.

The photo I envision
David’s version

That poor lion does not look happy.

The statues frolicking in the fountain.

We also stopped at a little German town known for clock making and wood carving. Didn’t have need of a coo coo clock or a religious wood carving, so we bought some famous liquor made by the monks and ate ice cream.
