In Japan, at the beginning of every meal they traditionally provide you a hot towel for washing your hands. It’s common to get an individually wrapped wet wipe at many places now, but some still use cloth.

David and the girls went to a bar after dinner our first night in Hiroshima and were given nice thick warm towels as they sat down. Daya hurt her finger somehow and was using her towel to soothe her owie.

The bar was run by an elderly couple who don’t speak any English. But they were happy to use Google translate to talk with us.

The drinks were beautiful and delicious, they had such a good time they came back to the hotel to tell me all about it.

They were on the elevator up to our room before they realized Daya still had the towel.

So we had to go back, the next night to return the towel and have more drinks!
