Arrival in Berlin with a bang

We made our way from Amsterdam to Berlin today.

Epic downpour sent people running for cover. There was literal screaming.

We got off the train at the station and almost instantly the wind picked up, it began to pour down rain, and lightning lit up the sky.

We had been considering taking a bus or walking to our place… but we decided to opt for an uber instead. It was the right call.

Taken through a rainy car window. The caption reads “as long as you are standing, offer a hand to those who have fallen.” The image is of a youth holding an elephant in his arms. The elephant has a chain around one of it’s legs and it’s tusks are broken.

Traffic in Berlin is bad and aggressive. Reminds me of Southern Italy. Very glad we are not driving. Almost all the cars have dash cameras. We also witnessed a road rage situation when we were out on the street walking.

Temporary residence in Berlin

I’m already kicking back with my feet up while we figure out what to eat for dinner tonight.
