We visited a 500 year old salt mine in the German Alps, still an operating salt mine. There was a mine cart tram, a wooden slide, a boat ride across an underground Salt Lake, and lots of historical information about mining salt.

Right after we floated across the lake they let us try the salt water from the lake. It was so salty!
We bought salt, and rock salt, and a teeny tiny container of salt.
