We found this mountaintop restaurant as a small entry in the guidebook and thought it sounded fun.

I took a screen shot of the map, you can see the switch back road we took to get up there.
But this is not the way Google told us to go. Google very confidently sent us this way.

When we got there, it was a gravel road, not really wide enough for two way traffic. We started up it for a bit and decided this was not the way and we should turn around. But there was not a place wide enough to turn the car around where we were at. I got out to see if we should go further up to a wider spot or back down the tiny gravel road on the side of a cliff.
A friendly German jogger came by and I asked her if there was a better place to turn around and she said no. She said “This is not the way for cars to get there.” So David backed our rental car down the mountain till we found a spot wide enough to do a 5 point turn and get out if there.

In our defense, at home in the pacific northwest, we have driven on many mountain roads in far worse condition to reach camping and hiking locations.

Eventually after several wrong directions from Google we found the actual road, which was paved, and made our way past many cyclists with impressive calves of steel to reach the top. Where we enjoyed lunch with beautiful views.
