In the center of Munich is the largest city park in Europe called the English Garden.

It was a warm day, so we each got a refreshing cocktail to go and strolled around the park sipping out of our open container. Europe doesn’t have the same rules regarding alcohol in public that we do.

A river runs swiftly through the park and people were jumping in and floating downstream to their deaths. That was David’s opinion anyway.

There were large open green spaces, art work here and there, and lots of bikes.

But the most impressive site to behold was the ๐โโ๏ธ surfing. That’s right i said surfing.

Right at the bridge in the 70’s someone had created an artificial wave and people line up in wetsuits to take their turn surfing the wave.

People of all different surf abilities were giving it a go. Most would drop their board in the water and quickly jump onto it in a maneuver I was certain would lead to breaking my head open on the concrete walls, but thankfully that didn’t happen to any of the people we witnessed surfing.

Once they wipe out. They are carried downstream at a pretty quick pace. Their surfboard is attached to their ankle or it would be gone forever. They have to grab the side wall, pull themselves up and drag their board back up after them.
