Budapest

We drove to Budapest and spent the day exploring the old part of the city.

Hop on, hop off bus tour

Eva dropped us off and we started off the day on top of an open air bus.

Budapest has fabulous old buildings and a few newer ones.

It was so hot, I thought I was going to melt when the bus wasn’t moving.

We had coffee and a snack at a beautiful French Café.

The cheesecake was so good. (Not pictured)

Next we caught a tour of the city from the Danube.

Our crew for the day

We almost missed our boat because we wanted a cold drink and the Starbucks took so long.

Our beautiful guides

By boat is a fantastic way to see the city and the breeze cooled us off a little too.

Next we took a funicular up the steep slope to the top of the ridge.

From here we took in the view of the city.

We ended up having another bite to eat at one of Jamie Oliver’s restaurants to tide us over until we got home for dinner.

Then we finished out our bus tour and Zoltan picked us up and drove us back to Nyíregyháza.
