Evening in Tihany

We spent the afternoon walking around the little town of Tihany.

Fish mosaic and David’s shoe for scale. (Actually he was just being oblivious and standing in my picture)

We had to hike up the hill and it was pretty hot out, but the view of the lake from the top was worth the effort.

There is a beautiful church. We were able to go inside but not take photos. They were having a service and the acoustics were amazing in there.

We wanted to visit some of the shops, but everything closes early so we were only able to go into a small grocery and the ice cream stand.

The side of this building is covered in peppers.

We had planned to find traditional Hungarian street food for dinner, but those were closed too.

We bought a bunch of meat, cheese, and bread at the little grocery and created a nice little platter of foods for us all to share.
